Addressed to ‘Monsieur de Petro, entrepreneur a Paraiso’ and carried free by a company employee between the post offices along the proposed route of the canal. This postmark has not been recorded before and there is no mention of a French Canal de Panama post office at BOHIO in this period. Unlisted in 'Panama Postal Markings 1758-1980' by COPAPHIL or in 'The Postal Markings of the Canal Zone' by L P Entwistle. An exceptional and unique cover of great importance in the early philately of the Canal Zone.	£950
