Printed 'Thedor Wille & Cia, Caixa 761, Rio de Janeiro, Seccao Maritima' cover with 'BRASIL 500 REIS' meter mark in red with black wavy lines cancel dated 17.10.1930 on front and additionally franked with Colombia 1923 4c blue national issue and 1929 20c rose red SCADTA issue (SG 395 & 59) tied by CALI SCADTA cds's dated 14.XII.1930 (almost 2 months later). These two stamps were added after the cover we received, the 20c rose has previously been used with the CALI cds applied over the original cds on this stamp. Addressed to 'Josef Sonntag' a known forger based in CALI with unframed 'LIVRE CENSURA' Brazilian censor mark on front and boxed CALI arrival mark on reverse. This was originally a standard cover sent from Brazil to Colombia with the Scadta stamps added by Sonntag at a later date to create a more valuable item. Interesting and unusual.
