Folded letter written from Pueblo San Jose, Matanzas (datelined inside) franked with 1882 5c dull lavender 'Alfonso XII' issue (SG 100) tied by fine strike of CEIBA MOCHA PROVINCIA DE MATANZAS cds in bright pink with second strike alongside. Addressed to HAVANA with large oval CARTERIA MAYOR HABANA marking in purple and arrival cds on reverse. Some light toning but very rare.
