Complete folded letter datelined 'Arthurstown 27th March 1814' with manuscript 'By Port Patrick' with good strike of ARTHURSTOWN 75' mileage mark in brown on front and rated '1/2' and '2/4' both crossed through with good strike of red 'CROWN' INSPECTORS MARK alongside and finally rated '4/8½' which included an additional ½d to pay the 'Stagecoach Wheel Tax'. Addressed to EDINBURGH with arrival cds on front. A very unusual and high rate.
