Black & white PPC 'Labuan Coal Mines' with great picture of the mine franked on message side with 1897 3c black & ochre perf 14½-15 (SG 91b) tied by fine LABUAN cds with second strike alongside. Addressed to SINGAPORE with arrival cds on front and apparently taxed with small 'T', large '2' in blue crayon and '1 / 2½c' in pencil. A rare postcard and a very scarce issue on cover.
