1½d brown on buff QV postal stationery card of Great Britain (H&G 8) datelined 'H. M. I. T. S. Euphrates, Malta 15.9.88' (Her Majesty's Indian Troop Ship Euphrates) on reverse initially treated as inadmissible due to being sent from Malta with 'O' in blue crayon alongside stamp imprint and MALTA cds dated SP 15 88 struck away from the stamp imprint and small unframed 'T' tax marking alongside. Addressed to UK with stamp cancelled by barred 'FB' (Foreign Branch) marking in black with the tax mark crossed out in blue manuscript. Small repaired tear at top but otherwise a very scarce item.
