Complete folded letter with manuscript 'Vapor Frances' at top and datelined inside 'Mexico Mayo 16 de 1881' franked with single 1879 5c orange 'Juarez' issue on thick WOVE paper with '5481' numeral overprint and 'MEXICO' district overprint in black (SG 117) cancelled by circular 'Bars' cancel in blue with FRANCO MEXICO cds in black dated 16 MAR 1881 alongside. Addressed to HAVANA, CUBA with arrival cds on reverse. Horizontal filing fold has been repaired but does not affect stamp or markings. Very scarce.
