CFA. cancel in bright magenta dated JUL 17 1911 alongside. The message reads 'July 16 1911. Greetings from the recent battle field, this place was burned'. Addressed to CANADA. This marking was used by the revolutionary communes in Baja California during the "Magonista" Revolt of 1911 led by Ricardo Flores Magon which was a precursor to the Mexican Revolution. A Rare item from a small and short lived rebellion.
