Complete folded letter datelined 'Durango Nbre 8 de 1862' franked with 1861 1r grey black on green and 4r grey black on yellow 'Hidalgo' issue with 'DURANGO' district overprints (SG 9a & 11a, the 4r is a very blurred almost double impression) tied by boxed DURANGO NOVIEMBRE 8 cancel in black. Addressed to MAZATLAN. Cover has a little ink burning on address at top left but otherwise a fine & rare 5r franking.
