Airmail cover franked with 1956 ½d orange & purple, 1½d slate green & carmine red, 2d deep brown & dull green and 1/- slate & yellow brown QE2 issue (SG 82, 84, 85 & 91) tied by two fine strikes of large circular BRITISH SOLOMON ISLANDS H.M. CUSTOMS 'Arms' cachet in violet with 'VANIKORO' handstamp in violet over the 'HM CUSTOMS' inscription. Addressed to SOUTH AFRICA. A rare cover one of only five recorded with this provisional cancellation.
