Cover with manuscript 'Pr. R.M.Steamer' on front and datelined 'Trinidad 9 Dec 1855' on reverse with numeral '1' cds of PORT OF SPAIN dated DEC 10 1855 and TRINIDAD British P.O. cds dated the same day. Addressed to EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND, rated '6d' in manuscript with various transit & arrival cds's all on reverse. This cover was carried on the RMSP Eagle to Barbados and on to ST THOMAS by the RMSP Derwent and then transferring to the RMSP Tyne to Southampton. A nice combination of the local post and British P.O. services carried by three different vessels.
