THOMAS British Post Office cds in black on reverse dated SE 13 1843 with LONDON arrival cds in red alongside. From 1842 due to the delay of sending mail via the West Indies the mails from Venezuela were despatched direct to St Thomas aboard the schooner 'Liffey' for onward transmission to Britain.
